The shares of Rail Power System GmbH (formerly Balfour Beatty Rail GmbH) and RPS Signal GmbH were transferred toTianjin Keyvia Electric Co., Ltd. (Keyvia) on 31 August 2016. Established in 2000, Tianjin Keyvia Electric Co., Ltd., headquartered in Tianjin, has been listed on the Shenzhen nd Shanghai stoack exchanges since November 2014. Keyvia is active in the field of research and development, as well as the planning, production and installation of systems for railway electrification for long-distance and urban transport. Between Keyvia and the German Rail Power Systems GmbH, a successful cooperation has been established since 2009 as a joint venture TJBB in the area of switchgear for DC trains for the Chinese market.
The product portfolio of Rail Power Systems GmbH is supplemented with Keyvia. In the future, Keyvia will be marketing the expertise in the implementation of turnkey projects in China, specifically for roadline projects. Rail Power Systems GmbH will in turn place the Keyvia products of control technology in Western Europe.
