Space for maintenance and assembly
While overhead conductor rails allow trains to drive into maintenance and assembly halls under their own power, they are in the way and a potential hazard when work has to be carried out on the roof of the train – the flexible solution is the TracFeed® SAM swivel arm. Motorised and synchronised, it disconnects the overhead conductor rail from the power supply and swings it to the side in just 22 seconds. This immediately creates space for working on the roof, crane operations and lifting systems.
