The DC grid in perfect balance

The TracFeed® RCM (Return Cable Monitoring) system reliably issues an alert if the theft-prone return cables are removed from the DC grid. This means that at least the operational hazards caused by cable and copper theft, such as excessive touch voltages, can be eliminated at an early stage. Eliminate restrictions in train operations due to a lack of power, altered potential distribution, impermissibly high touch voltages, overloading of voltage limiting devices and increased stray current from your risk profile. TracFeed® RCM cyclically monitors the electrical status of the individual return cables both during railway operation and during downtimes, reporting faults to the control centre within a few minutes.

TracFeed® RCM allows the monitoring of all commonly used types of return cable with and without cable shielding. Thanks to its simple and flexible design, it can be easily integrated into the DC traction power supply, even in existing systems. Aside from local proximity to the return feeder panel, only one
additional connection to the auxiliary power and the control system is required.
