Climate-neutral mobility

Electric accumulator-powered traction units are increasingly replacing diesel traction. These accumulator-powered traction units can run on electrified lines under contact lines as well as without contact lines. Charging stations away from the electrified rail network, e.g. at en-route or terminal stations, are therefore the ideal solution.

A charging station (TracFeed® BCS) consists of a charging substation (e.g. a steel container) and an overhead contact line section for charging the traction unit’s accumulator via its current collector. The standard TracFeed® BCS solution is designed for 15 kV, 50 Hz or 25 kV, 50 Hz.
