Verification of electromagnetic compatibility in accordance with 26. BImSchV – Expansion and electrification of the Upper Rhine Railway Basel Bad Bf - Erzingen (Baden)

One of the major projects in the Regional Area Southwest of DB Netz AG is the electrification of the approximately 75 km long Hochrheinbahn line between Basel Bad Bf and Erzingen (Baden). The section from Erzingen (Baden) to Konstanz is already equipped with overhead contact lines. The project aims to electrify the entire section between Basel and Konstanz and expand local rail passenger services.
The specifications and requirements also include the verification of electromagnetic compatibility in accordance with 26. BImSchV for German territory and NISV for Swiss territory.
The electric and magnetic fields generated by the overhead contact line system are being tested for compliance with the limit values.
