Measurements of touch voltages in the ATS Memmingen

Earthing measurements in accordance with DIN EN 50522 (VDE 0101-2) must be carried out for all DB AG substations, converter stations and AT stations to verify compliance with the permissible earthing resistances and to protect persons against impermissible touch voltages. 
The touch voltages were measured and analysed for the electrical testing of the earthing system in the ATS Memmingen traction power supply system to verify its effectiveness in protecting people against impermissibly high touch voltages in the event of an earth fault (earth short circuit) on the 15 kV/16.7 Hz side.
